Gopher basketball fans had visions of the 1997 Midwest Regional all week, which was the last time Minnesota faced UCLA. They looked at the names in the event and expected to face the Bruins in round two but an experienced and talented Portland team wiped the Bruins out annihilating them 74-47 last evening.
